Pick a Slip founders Brian Currier and Jake Vitale along with the marketing team will be renting a houseboat from Flat Hollow Marina and a speedboat (runabout) rental from Sequoyah Marina.
Last year at the Tennessee Marina Association and Kentucky Marina Association Conference we first heard about Norris Lake. We were very familiar with Dale Hollow Lake and Lake Cumberland as we have frequented the lakes for the past ten years on an annual houseboat trip. This year we have agreed to give Norris Lake a visit and after becoming more familiar with the lake and the marinas situated on it, we're all very excited about the visit. We're all avid boating enthusiasts and feel that our input and reviews on the two marinas will give the boating community a good feel for what to expect on their visit! To our surprise, Norris Lake seems to be noticeably larger in comparison than Dale Hollow Lake. Both lakes resemble eachother and offer similar scenery since they are both dammed up rivers. The sheltered fingers allow for calm waters that are perfect for anyone interested in watersports (which we all are!). The lake is home to 18 marinas situated all around the lake which is shaped somewhat like a horseshoe. For this reason it's important to take a look at a map of where the marinas are located before your visit.
Throughout our 5 day visit we will be rating both marinas on their service/ staff, amenities, cleanliness, location, and then an overall review of our experience.
